Welcome Pastor Jisu Ahn
Getting to Know our New Pastor!
Jisu was born in South Korea and spent most of his youth in New Zealand. On returning to Korea, he received his B.A. in Counseling from Handong Global University and an M.Div. from Methodist Theological University in Korea. He received his second M.Div. from Drew Theological School and is pursuing his D.Min. there.
He served as a youth pastor at Arcola Korean UMC for five years before receiving his first appointment there as an associate pastor in 2020. He is passionate about preaching, discipleship, and pastoral care. Jisu is happily married to his lovely wife Seonah, who is also a UMC candidate for ordained ministry, and they are blessed with a 7-year-old bundle of joy, Yoojin. His hobbies include tennis, basketball, and anything played with a round ball.
You can find Pastor Jisu in his office Tuesday thru Friday from 10am-4PM.
